The Washington Post Magazine, with a circulation of 983,000 people, did a nice write up of the brand this past weekend. It was published in the "Making It" section of The Post. Tracing the company from our humbled beginnings selling Fuck Duke T-shirts, the article highlighted our wholesale distribution of over 550 boutiques.

They even got the store manager from Urban Outfitters to go on record about Crooked Monkey's Funny t-shirts. Antoine Kelly from Urban said "'They're a hot item'," Kelly said. College-age customers like them because 'they're funny and can start a conversation at a bar."' That's awesome, thanks Antoine.

The weekend is a favorite for Crooked Monkey employees. Hard to imagine that we love the weekend more than we love coming into work, but it's true. Making funny t-shirts can be very grueling, and the weekend is a good break from the drains of always attempting to be funny.

But even on the weekends, we're still working hard--most of our best ideas come from drunken nights or watching other people fall into deep drunken stupors. So when we're out partying, its not really for ourselves; its really for you. Next time you think were just livin the dream, just remember the sacrifices we must make for you guys.
This post's picture is actually somewhat relevant. This happened a few weekends ago--we decided to learn how to fold funny t-shirts the Japanese way. Theres a hilarious YouTube video of a Japanese lady folding t-shirts. Since it's the weekend, and you probably have nothing better to do, i'll even post this hilarious video right here. So the picture above is us trying to learn the secret ways of the Japanese fold. We'll be posting that video pretty soon too. We are now sold in England!  232 years after the Revolution, it's an honor to be back it with the motherland.

As some of you may know, Crooked Monkey ships lots of funny t-shirts to lots of boutiques. When said store owner opens the box, they are in store for a ton of goodies: banana candy, stickers, and the most hilarious shirts known to man.

Today was somewhat of a record--as we shipped 45 boxes (not including the slew of online orders that we also shipped). Everyone at the office did a fantastic job getting all the orders out.

For the last couple of weeks, we have been dealing with a printer in LA who totally screwed us over and refused to ship out our shirts. As a result, lots of people have been forced to go without Crooked Monkey t-shirts for quite some time now. What a shanda.
Well, we finally got shirts in stock today and we were determined to ship out as much as humanly possible. We apologize to everyone who waited so patiently for their orders. But we are now officially back up and running. So now we can get back to doing what we do best: providing people with the coolest shirts on the planet.

Anyone living in LA that would like to give this guy a piece of your mind, let us know and we'll gladly give you his phone number and address.

This year we went to Utopia which is at the U Street Corridor in Washington DC. We started off at Micha's place for cocktails and appetizers and then headed over to the restaurant at around 11 PM--because that's how we roll.

Eddie gave a moving speech to all the employees about the impact they've had and the growth that the company has seen over the past year. Watch out Obama, Eddie's coming.

Tammy won best dressed of the night. Even though she wasn't wearing a C Monkey Funny t-shirt.

Blackberry Messenger was a big hit of the night "BBM Me" was a common refrain.

Ben was kind enough to offer to drive some people home, and was rewarded with a speeding ticket!

T-shirt Groove posted our That's How I Roll Guys T-shirt and Girls T-shirt on their blog. And we appreciate that.

Here's what they said "This is a fine shirt and I give it the Tshirt Groove stamp of big time approval." They recommend people to "Get it on the double." And guess what, you can! That's How I roll is one of our most popular funny tees.
