It's been a while since we posted here.  I'm sorry.  We've been busy relaunching our site, from the inside and out. We went with a brand new front end design, and a revamped easier-to-use back end. It took us about nine months to finish, and we're happy with the results. Here are some features of the new site:
1)No more flash: (But we did Keep the Monkey's dorm room which everyone loved!)
2)Categories: Want to see only our Men's New tees, now you can.  What about our Women's Best selling t-shirts?  There's a site for that, now.
3)Press on the homepage:  Keep up to date with where Crooked Monkey's t-shirts are spotted.
4)Scrolling Marquee:  To highlight what's going on and new initiatives we now have our very own image slider.

5)Links to Social Media: Believe it or not, our old site did not have our Facebook or Twitter links on our site. This is especially puzzling,considering we were the first company to use Facebook for business (Many of you will remember our Crooked Monkey Hotties groups in 2005 when Facebook was restricted by school and there were no universal groups).  And we're working on our Pintererst page--more details to follow.

6)Browse shirts in your size: If you're a size Large, why do you need to look through shirts that we don't have in Large?  You don't have to anymore!  If you only like Crew Necks, only search for Crew necks.

7)Clearance T-shirts:  Instead of having sales here and sales there, we have two prices: $24 and $15 tees.

8)Free Shipping:  This is my favorite. Buy two shirts, get free shipping.  It's that simple.  You can buy one $24 shirt and one $15, you still get free shipping.  And best of all, no promo code is needed.

Crooked Monkey uses Google Analytics to see how people come to our website and see what specific pages on our site people like. We can also see how people get to our website--whether they found us by searching for funny t-shirts or from a blog that writes about us.

Oftentimes we get welcomed surprises--websites that are sending us traffic that we didn't even know wrote about us. This morning I checked analytics and found that people were coming from Seventeen.com. What a welcomed bonus.

They listed us under their "The cutest Tees" section, and we occupy the top 5 spots in it. Thanks guys.

Contrary to what you may think, you cannot just walk into the bank and cash an oversized check--those checks are just for PR purposes. I'd be interested in learning the history of the oversized check. I know it wasn't just created for Happy Gilmore.

I was tempted to bring the check to the bank with me today and try to cash it--and videotape the experience. But we had some technical difficulties.

Today we got an email from the Dignman Center and BB&T; informing us how to collect on the prize money.

What will we be using the money for?
1)You know what I would do if I had a million dollars? I would invest half of it in low risk mutual funds and then take the other half over to my friend Asadulah who works in securities...
2)Making more funny t-shirts
3)Making more graphic t-shirts
4)Revamping our website to make it more Google friendly (when you google funny t-shirts, we want to be first).

We are always looking to improve the look and feel of our website. We have a responsibility to our customers to not only provide awesomely funny t-shirts, but also to provide you with an experience unlike any other. In that vein, we have put a lot more emphasis on our blog--giving insight into the inner workings of the Funny t-shirt capital of the world.

We are considering moving our blog to the front page, so that when you visit www.crookedmonkey.com, the first page you see is the blog. This is a pretty significant change, as most t-shirt companies have a "call to action" on their front page. They show their product immediately when you log onto the front page, so that you can buy buy buy. Well at Crooked Monkey we want you to enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

We're less concerned about selling and more into enjoying. So if you want to only read the blog, have at it. If you want to take a look at the shirts and have a good laugh, go for it. And if you want to buy a shirt while you're here, we applaud that too.
